Program introduction:
Students are required to complete the curriculum between 4 to 6 years and fulfill the designated number of credits. Successful graduates will receive a graduation certificate along with the bachelor’s degree, according to the regulation of the Degree Committee.
Application prerequisites:
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, above the age of 18 and under the age of 25, have attained a senior high school diploma. Residents of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan who have emigrated to other countries and are applying to Peking University as international students must present valid passport or citizenship documents dating from before April 30th 2011, along with proof of residence abroad of at least 2 years between April 30th 2011 to the application deadline (9 months of residence abroad per year may be considered as one year).
Application Process:
1. On-Line registration.
1.1. Please register your details on http://www.studyatpku.com .Please fill and submit the application form and also print a hardcopy for reference. The online application will start on January 1, 2015.
2. Submit Application Materials.
2.1. After completing the Peking University Application Form for International Students on-line please print and attach a passport-style photograph.
2.2. Senior high school graduation diploma (Students expecting to graduate should provide an official letter stating expected graduation date, and submit the graduation diploma if admitted), which should be original documents or certified copies in Chinese or English.
2.3. Official transcripts of your academic achievement up to the present, including courses taken and standard achieved (original documents or certified copies in Chinese or English)
2.4. One photocopy of your valid passport (passport type must be ordinary)

Application fee:
800 RMB in cash, by Yinlian bank card or through online payment. Any other currency or travel check would not be accepted. This fee is not refundable.
Admission ticket printing:
The International students division will check the application materials in 5 work days. Applicant could print the admission ticket after Mar 30th online.
Entrance examination date:
The written tests will be on Apr 11th to 12th, 2015. For the details of test venue and time, please refer to your Admission Card.
The applicants who pass the written tests are required to attend an interview. Date and venue will be informed after the written tests.

Admission:
Admission will be determined according to the applicants’ results of the entrance examinations and the interview. The written tests result will be sent to applicants’ account which is created on the online application system. The interview list and admission result will be issued athttp://www.isd.pku.edu.cn . The "Letter of Admission" and the attached documents can be obtained by the end of June.

PKU Freshmen Scholarship:
Peking University establishes a scholarship for freshmen who do very well in the interview. Full scholarship covers four year’s tuition fee, 2000RMB/month living allowance and medical insurance. Students may apply for the scholarship after the admission announcements are made. The university will consider applications according to secondary school results and interview results. Students awarded with the scholarship must participate in a yearly evaluation in the spring semester, passing which students may continue to enjoy their scholarship privileges. Medical insurance
The regulation of Chinese Ministry of Education requires that all international students must be medically insured throughout their entire planned period of study. Students are required to purchase the Comprehensive Insurance Plan of Foreign Students provided by Ping An insurance company on the day of registration, which has been recognized and recommended by the Ministry of Education of China. Students who do not have valid medical insurance are not allowed to register.

Non-Chinese government scholarship students are required to find their own living accommodation. Please note that students who live off campus must register to the local police station within 24 hours.
Visa information
Students admitted to PKU may apply for your visa at the Chinese Embassy/Consulate in your country with your letter of admission and JW201/202 form. International students who will study in China for over 6 months are required to obtain ‘X1’ Visa, which will only be valid for 30 days after your arrival in China. You must come to the International Students Division and apply for a Residence Permit within these 30 days in order to obtain a legal status in China.
